Tucson Safety & Medical Supply started out in 1984 as a first aid van service. We relocated over the years moving to bigger stores and adding more service vans to service the growing number of route customers. Our staff is involved in many community events which benefit a range of local interests. Such as youth sports, education, 4H and volunteer construction projects. We have been a sponsor of the Flowing Wells Little League since 1999. One example of a community need that was met was when a major fire in the Catalina Mountains on the edge of Tucson resulted in heavy smoke and ash falling over the town. Many residents were affected with respiratory concerns due to the ash fallout. We set up a table street side at the store and passed out respirators free of charge to all who drove up. About 1,100 respirators were handed out in a few days.
Gerald started the company in 1984 after moving to Tucson from Chicago. He has a background in emergency medical services and training. Both of his children have worked in the company while going through school. Active in the community he is a member of the Flowing Wells Unified School Board, the Pima County Small Business Commission, the Executive Association of Tucson and other groups.
Kaytie has been with the company for over 16 years and is now the office manager. She is the proud mother of 3 boys, all of whom as infants have sat by her desk or in her arms as she worked.
Our service vans stock all of the first aid and safety products that are commonly used to treat emergencies or keep employees from getting injured. When we visit you on a regular basis, our customer service representative will clean, restock and check for expiration dates on the products in your first aid stations. There are no extra or hidden costs to our service, you receive just the items needed. If products are not required there is no cost to you for our visit.
